LOCATION
The Sunshine Coast has become increasingly recognised as one of the most desirable places to live in the world and is located on the East coast of Australia, just one hours drive north of the Queensland capital of Brisbane.

SAFE
The Sunshine Coast is comprises three major towns of Caloundra, Maroochydore. The current population base of the Sunshine Coast is approximately over 260,000 making it Australia's 10th largest area for population. There is a vibrant community culture on the coast that provides facilities in a small, safe and friendly environment.

SUNSHINE COAST LIFESTYLE
The temperature fluctuations between the summer and winter months is mild with temperatures being generally comfortable all year round.

The temperature of the ocean can range from 26°C in summer to 19°C in the winter. Temperatures in the Blackall ranges can be several degrees cooler.

Average Summer Temperatures: In January (Summer), the temperatures average around 28°C (82°F).

Average Winter Temperatures: In July (Winter), the temperatures averages around 20°C (68°F).

Outdoor activities abound and you will be amazed at the golf courses, bowling greens, diving and water ski facilities, national parks, 4WD adventures along islands and ocean front. You will find unbelievable sun-drenched patrolled beaches that are suitable for swimming as well as big swell surfing. You will find most styles of fishing available, from mountain stream to river, ocean, reef and game fishing. With sea and river fishing, beach activities, parks and mountains, the Sunshine Coast caters for every experience.

The Sunshine Coast is not just a nature’s wonderland, but a tourist destination with many world famous tourist attractions including Underwater World and Australia Zoo. It has world class shopping complexes, magnificent beaches and waterside accommodation. Maroochydore is the business centre of the Sunshine Coast.

The Sunshine Coast offers quiet unspoiled, patrolled beaches stretching hundreds of kilometres. It stretches through vibrant townships of Caloundra, Moololaba, Maroochydore, Coolum Beach, Noosa and Rainbow Beach. It also takes in the scenic hinterland areas of the Glass House Mountains, Maleny and Montville on the Blackall Range, Noosa Hinterland and the Mary Valley. Perfect for sunset strolls or early morning walks. The Sunshine Coast is perfect for a riverside picnic, lazing on the beach or strolling around the specialty shops and boutiques.

The hinterland ranges provide an abundance of lush rainforests, spectacular views, wineries, art and crafts. The hinterland townships come alive every weekend. The world famous Eumundi markets hosts over 200 stall holders selling everything from leather hats to hand blown glassware.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Rail: The Sunshine Coast has an extensive public transport network. The train lines run through the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, connecting buses run to the coastal strip.

Bus: Bus services are operated by Sunbus, which operates under the TransLink public transport system, in which buses connects the suburbs and localities within the Caloundra, Maroochy and Noosa Local Government Areas. Noosa Shire Council operates free bus services connecting Noosa Heads to surrounding suburbs and major park and ride stations during the peak summer holiday period.
